Upper Teesdale has been part of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for over 25 years and an European Geopark for ten years. As such, it offers a wonderful base for those interested in wildlife, geology or wild flowers, as well as for walkers and cyclists.
For walkers the footpaths start at the cottage door and allow you to explore the nearby Hudeshope Woods, the Tees Valley, Monk's Moor or to travel further afield (Read More). The cottage is pet friendly and up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome, provided that they are kept under strict contrrol.
